Value Delivered

To help KDP meet their priority to minimize plant downtime during a cooling system conversion, Shambaugh completed critical tie-ins on the weekends, and executed each line conversion with a systematic phased approach.

Client Objectives

At two separate plants, KDP wanted to convert their existing anhydrous ammonia process cooling system to a distributed, pumped glycol cooling system. The primary challenge was to limit any production downtime, so KDP could continue to run the filling lines through the construction phase.

Solutions

Shambaugh completed all the engineering, design, fabrication, installation, and startup for a complete turnkey installation of the new system and equipment.

This conversion removed all the ammonia-related piping and equipment from the process area, while reducing the overall ammonia charge, helping to create a safer working environment for their employees.

Client Background

KDP is a leading beverage company in North America.
