Our Advantage

Shambaugh technician wearing safety gear looking up at equipmentThere are many reasons why working with Shambaugh is the right choice for your fire protection needs, but our extensive experience and knowledge rank among the most compelling.

Our fire protection division has been in business since 1966 and currently employs approximately 400 office personnel and 2,000 field installers.

We self-perform all aspects of fire protection service, which consists of sales, design, fabrication, and installation. Our design resources consist of 275 NICET-certified project designers, and we utilize Auto CAD, HydraCALC, and BIM software.

Redefining fabrication

Shambaugh gives you the missing links between design, procurement, and scheduling. We fabricate our own piping, which means we're truly redefining the entire fabrication process. These unique benefits alone result in a significant reduction in cost and schedule, and they provide an even higher level of quality assurance due to the controlled environment in which we operate.

More than capable—consistent

Our capabilities are many and varied, and you can rest assured that we can handle projects of virtually any size. In terms of larger projects, we have the ability to prefabricate and deliver sprinkler systems consisting of over 40,000 sprinklers every week. We complete over 1,000 fire protection projects per year throughout the country.

Over the years, Shambaugh has successfully completed fire protection services for over three billion square feet of facilities throughout the United States.

We know the industry because we're in the industry

To say that we're "in the know" when it comes to the fire protection industry is putting it mildly. We've made a concentrated effort to stay abreast of what happens in our industry, whether from a legislative, technical, or industry-standard perspective. We have at least one Shambaugh representative on each of the following NFPA Committees:

  • NFPA 3│Commissioning of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems
