BP-Amfine Chemical, PEMBROKE, KY
The client needed mechanical, process, utility, and fire protection services on a Design/Build basis for Amfine’s first industrial chemical processing facility in the U.S.
Shambaugh & Son completed all work in time for startup to occur eight months early and on budget. With over 2,500 isometrics and a fast-track schedule, Shambaugh & Son pre-fabricated over 80% of the process/utility piping at their in house facility to ensure schedule acceleration, quality control, and reduced construction costs.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Shambaugh & Sons’s mechanical construction and process services scope of work included designing, pre-fabricating, and constructing the complete process utilities, process piping, HVAC, plumbing and water treatment system. We also developed a fire protection system, which included a wet sprinkler system and special hazards treatment of the tank farm facility.
