Senior Vice President, Fire Protection
Todd strives to ensure each construction project results in the kind of high-performance solutions clients need for optimum operation, reliability, and value. He also ensures safety policies are communicated and implemented, employees receive the training they need to keep their expertise up to date, and Shambaugh’s construction services and automated fire protection fabrication is maintained at the highest levels.
Todd has over 35 years of experience in the Fire Protection industry. He has served in varying capacities within Shambaugh’s corporate structure for 27 years and has moved through various roles of increasing responsibility in the fire protection division including Designer in the engineering department, Sales Engineer throughout Northern Indiana, and, for the past two decades, Branch Manager of Shambaugh’s Chicago fire protection division.
In addition to degrees from ITT Technical Institute and North Lake Community College, Todd has training and certification from Oklahoma State University School of Technology, in hydraulic calculations and alarm and detection, as well as from National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) to qualify as a senior engineering technician in fire protection layout design. He is a Certified Responsible Managing Employee for fire protection in Texas, and a Certified Fire Protection Individual to practice fire protection design in South Carolina.
Todd has been a member of the Illinois Fire Prevention Association, Metropolitan Chicago Area since 1994 and a member and officer of the Chicago Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA) since 1996, holding the office of Chapter Treasurer since 2000.
