Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Services for Mama Mia’s Homestyle Pizza facility in Rancho Santa Margarita, California

  • Shambaugh & Son construction/engineering services were responsible for all mechanical, electrical & plumbing (MEP) services and general construction services
  • Installed all processing equipment, a flour handling system and continuous dough making and baking lines
  • Design/build a 50,000 square foot facility expansion for bulk pizza baking in 15 weeks
  • New facility produces 5,700 homestyle frozen pizzas per hour
  • Installed 28 high-speed packaging machines and largest fastback conveyor in the world!
  • Project completion five months ahead of planned schedule
  • Installed seven new production lines
  • Designed a sequential cooking and soaking system
  • Integrated their plant floor PLC's via Ethernet with their AS/400 system
