Shambaugh's Fort Wayne Electrical Division Launches New Utility Division

October 2011

The Fort Wayne Electrical Division is excited to launch its new Utility Division to service the transportation/highway business. This industry brings a Shambaugh presence into a growing market that is “counter cyclical” to the still mirrored in the recession building construction market. On May 2nd, Shambaugh acquired the key personnel and assets of the 20+ year old, well known Lights & Signals, Inc. (LSI) business, who closed their doors. With up to 50 field personnel, they are led by five (5) directors averaging over twenty (20) years experience with LSI! A special welcome to those five listed in the New Faces section: Bill Charland, Mike Morgan, ill Skidmore, Kevin Skidmore, Wendy Skidmore and Bart Weldon. Specifically, this new electrical division focuses on the following: Traffic Signals & Controls, Underground Utilities, Directional Drilling, Outdoor Lighting, Roadway Signage. This new division will focus on both private and public INDOT work. The synergies with Shambaugh’s Electrical Division are significant. By combining purchasing leverage, the outdoor and parking lot lighting and Shambaugh’s bonding to provide this group the opportunity to “re enter” the bonded prime bid work, along with INDOT maintenance business, sharing the latest in equipment and technology, resources and knowledge base. Shambaugh is confident of a successful future! We appreciate the experience and leadership of the five project directors and the skills and dedication/loyalty of their 50 field personnel!
